the Harkonnens are the second important family

breeding program. Originally Feyd-Rautha Harkonnen
was meant to marry the Atreides female heir and
it was thought that their son would be the much
acclaimed Kwisatz Haderch. Due to Lady
Jessica 's giving birth to a male rather than
a female child, those plans were of course cancelled.
